Richard Farr is Managing Director and Macro Strategist of Institutional Equities at Boenning & Scattergood, Inc. He joined the firm in 2007 and commenced publication of his macroeconomic reports during the financial crisis of 2008. His team has successfully analyzed many global macro events, including the ongoing European debt crisis, slowing economic growth in China, Japan's reflationary policies, as well as weaker-than-expected U.S. GDP growth in 2011 and 2012.
Rich has 18 years of Wall Street experience at firms such as International Strategy & Investment Group (ISI), Bankers Trust Company, Telsey Advisory Group (TAG) and First Investors Corporation. Rich's background includes positions in equity analysis, global arbitrage trading, institutional sales and trading and business forecasting.
Rich received a B.S. in Finance, magna cum laude, from the University of Connecticut and an MBA in Finance and International Business from the Stern School of Business at New York University. Rich currently holds FINRA series 7, 55, 63 and 65 licenses.
